Iceland’s government has decided it must end a bitter row with the UK and Holland over billions of pounds of deposits in Icesave, a collapsed bank, in order to secure a multi-billion dollar bail out led by the International Monetary Fund.

Negotiators for Iceland are in Brussels discussing how the impasse can be resolved with the EU, a strong sign that the country no longer wants to pursue the issue in court but find a negotiated solution. 14-Nov-08.
