I will have to sell my house

I have £34,000 in Landsbanki Guernsey, my only savings, I will have to sell my house if I don't get my money as my only other income is my UK state pension.

Surely there's a moral responsibility here

We are expat UK citizens who rely on our savings for our only form of income, so cannot afford to lose any of it! As we live in France, we had no option than to save our sterling funds 'offshore'. It seems the UK government have completely washed their hands of us expats who worked all their lives and paid taxes in the UK. Surely there's a moral responsibility here!!

Desperately need the money for our house purchase

We lost everything (275k gbp) after emigrating and desperately need the money for our house purchase which is about to collapse. We have no where to turn, and are pretty much at the end.

I will probably have to sell my home

I am a retired U.K. citizen living in the US. My money in Landisbanki Guernsey was an inheritance from my parents, Guernsey residents until their deaths. I will probably have to sell my home if I lose this money. I am in shock and face an uncertain future without this money which I had counted on to provide an income

I haven’t had the heart to tell my daughter

My mother, who died three years ago, left my daughter 21,000 GBP to help get her started in life. I invested the money for her on a fixed term deposit with Landsbanki Guernsey this August. I learned four days ago that Landsbanki has gone into administration.
